About The Academy
Tallahassee Autism Academy (“The Academy”) is a forward-thinking hybrid educational model created for children diagnosed with autism. The Academy blends the structure of a traditional classroom with the compassion and expertise of the Cayer Behavioral Group team. We are currently in the process of securing formal approval as a registered private umbrella school with the Florida Department of Education (DOE) and as a Step Up for Students and Personalized Education Program (PEP) vendor. Once approved, The Academy will accept all eligible Florida scholarship programs for qualifying families.

Our Educational Model - Guaranteed 1:1 Instruction
The Academy’s program delivers high-impact, research-driven instruction during each learner’s most engaged hours of the day. Our hybrid model allows families to choose how to continue learning beyond the classroom—either through home-based parent participation or by extending services in the afternoon with Cayer Behavioral Group’s therapy team. The curriculum is rooted in The Autism Helper Curriculum, emphasizing communication, language, independence, and academic readiness through individualized and group instruction. Learners benefit from close collaboration between Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists, ensuring a holistic and compassionate learning experience.

Our Mission
To create a compassionate, inclusive educational environment where children with autism learn, grow, and belong. Through collaboration, evidence-based teaching, and the power of community, we help every learner reach their fullest potential.
